One who loves gold will not be justified;
One who pursues money will be led astray by it.
Many have come to ruin because of gold
and their destruction has met them face to face.
It is a stumbling block to those who are avid for it,
And every fool will be taken captive of it.
                                                     Sirach 31: 5-7

Man was ensnared by gold and wealth even from the
earliest times.  Even when Aaron made the golden calf,
man in his weakness will be tempted for it.  It is not
surprising because humanity generally likes to live in it's
comfort zone, a well-off life with all its trimmings and laces.

But is it really worth the chase?  The Lord had said, "Seek
ye first the kingdom of God and everything will be added unto you." We can chant this verse perfectly, but do we apply it really in our lives?

When we have projects or missions, consecrate it to the Lord!
If it is for a good cause and for the building of God's kingdom,
rest assured that 'though arrows will strike you from left to right' it will succeed!  Why?  Because the Lord says so, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything will be added unto you." Certainly, one has to do his part in the venture but the success will come from the Lord.

Do not seek gold or wealth, it will evade you!  Seek and promote God's Word and slowly one will see the unprecedented success. It is not magic or instant success.   It is assured, as long as one does not sway to the left!  God gives success to those who seek him wholeheartedly and to the ones who do not have a small god, mammon---money or gold!
