He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will recover."

Mark 16:15-18

Jesus gave authority to the eleven, over evil. If we believe in Him, that authority is also ours. He gives us authority over every evil in our lives, and calls us to extent that gift to others too. To encourage those who are discouraged and depressed, to help those who are weak, to visit the sick and lonely. These are some of the ways we can “preach the good news to all creation”

Nothing the Lord gives us is only for ourselves. We have to share all He has blessed us with. Let us spend time reflecting on this today.
(Thanks to Jane Pimenta for highlighting the healing power of God.  By this power and authority the disciples and the faithful could display signs of miracles, awesome and rare!  "For nothing is impossible for God."  Superb reflection!)  New World
