ECCLESIASTES 9
Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the
battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor
favor to the skillful; but time and chance happen to them all. For no one can
anticipate the time of disaster. Like fish taken in a cruel net, and like birds
caught in a snare, so mortals are snared at a time of calamity when it suddenly
falls upon them.
Eccl 9: 11-12
* Life is a mystery and an enigma. Man has unanswered questions. Life is not
like an experiment wherein one isolate the variables and the constant. It is
one of the most unpredictable things in the world. It does not mean that one
has to be fatalistic! It only meant that we do not make gods of ourselves. There
is a God whom we can trust. Hence whatever happens to our lives, rest assured
that it was allowed by God for nothing pass the notice of our awesome God
Almighty. All works well, in the long run for those who love Him. After all is said
and done, the Lord has the last word!
