I AM the vine, you are the branches: Jn 15: 5-7 Reflection by Prayer Aid

I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.  If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.  If you emain in Me and my Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.  John 15:5-7
Jesus makes it very clear that the only way to find peace and joy is to be in a firm relationship with Him.  Then our prayers will be answered.  (because then we will ask only according to His Will).  As long as we remain in Jesus, we are at peace, the storms will come, the winds will come, but because of our faith in Jesus we will continue to stand firm, in spite of the storm around us, and walk in peace.  Nothing will pull us right down – sure we may slip and few notches but we will never be down…When the Presence of the Lord goes with us, He provides the light for our path.  (Thanks Jane.  The Holy Spirit works in you.  Let us remind our brothers and sisters to abide in God’s Word, excellent).  Cynthia Abegail in behalf of New World.
