The Lord moulds us like a potter moulds the clay: Reflection by Jane Pimenta of Prayer Aid

Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something on the wheel.  But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter, so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.  Jeremiah 18:3-4
So he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.  If today, we are in a difficult situation with no solution, maybe, just maybe, the Lord is using that situation to draw us closer to Him, to trust Him completely.   What Jeremiah is saying that when the first vessel did not turn out the way the POTTER wanted it to, he began to remould it!  Maybe that is what the Lord is doing in our life through the situation we are faced with.  Let us deal with the issue we face with the Lord, let Him remould us, refine us the way He wants, instead of working against Him.  Are we trusting the Lord completely in our situation today?  If we are not, then He may be breaking and chipping away in order to remould….(Thanks Jane for this insightful reflection.  That’s very true, sometimes we offer much resistance.   Lord, mould us and heal us).  Cynthia Abegail for New World
