Notebook 1 (498) Divine Mercy of my Soul,by St Faustina Kowalska

A Reflection

"I saw Jesus in the usual way, and He spoke these words to me: Lay your head on my shoulder, rest and regain your strength.  I am always with you.  Tell the friend of my Heart that I use such feeble creatures to carry out My work."  (Notebook 1 (498) ).

If we read the history of saints and even the prophets of the biblical ancient times, we will notice that God chooses the weak ones to carry out the mission.  For example, St Paul persecuted Christians before, yet God chose him to preach the good news to the Gentiles.  St Therese of Lisieux, became one of the greatest saints of modern times.  God can make a golden tapestry out of anything. That's how great God Almighty is!

What is striking about these saints?  They maybe weak but they get their strength in God alone!  They are humble before the God who made heaven and earth.  They surrendered fully to the plan and designs of God.  They know that they cannot do anything without the help of the Almighty.

It is through weak persons that the glory of God is manifested.  Their transformation as agents of the most Supreme Power is most visible.  What are we waiting for?  How do we know that we may be the next vessel of God for His amazing work.  If that happens, how truly blessed we are!!!

Lord, here we are.  We surrender to you, we love you and you know it.  Make us your instruments of your love and mercy.  Amen.
