My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word Ps 119:28
I visited an elderly lady who was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was living only with a maid. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw her relaxed and calm. She shared many people knew her situation and consequently she had visitorsoften! She shared with me her first reaction was mega anxiety, of how she would cope during and after surgery. Finally she decided to open her hands and give all of that into the hands of Jesus and let Him take care of it. Apart from daily visitors, she had people who sat with her on the day of surgery, she had visitors in the hospital often, and one person had given her the use of his car and driver for whenever she had to go to the hospital…. With a big smile she told me her daughter-in-law was coming for two weeks…The Lord works it out beyond our expectations when we place our burden in His hands. (It is sometimes surprising that when we leave everything to the Lord, wonderful things happen! When we try to solve our problems by ourselves, nothing happens or if something happens, it is very slow and heavy. Yes, we must learn the secret, God helps those whose trust in Him is full and unwavering. Praise the Lord!). Cynthia Abegail for New World.
