Give more and receive more: Mk 4:24-25: Reflection by Prayer Aid

"Consider carefully what you hear," he continued. "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you--and even more.  Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him." Mark 4:24-25

To the extent we give of ourselves, of our resources, give forgiveness, to the extent we are compassionate and are merciful, to that extent will we receive back from the Lord.  If at any time, we feel a spiritual dryness, or we feel alone, let us check our giving!  If we give nothing to the Lord, we will be dry.

No matter what our schedules are, or how anxious and worried we are, let us put ourselves aside today, and decide to love God by reaching out to someone in need.  (Thanks Jane for this reminder.  In the busyness of our life, we forget and neglect those in need.  Superb reflection).  Cynthia Abegail for New World
