Ps 77 Remind me of your works O' Lord

"I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.  They are constantly in my mind and I cannot stop thinking about them."

What we put in our minds will totally affect the output in our behaviour and attitude, by God's grace! If God's deeds is always in our minds, it would help us to fight temptation by His grace.  It is God who fights our battles, it is not us.  Alone, we are helpless!  It is St Paul who stressed that we are not battling forces in the earthly sphere but we are facing battles against the flesh which are propelled by spirits in the spiritual realm.  We will not stand a chance by our own powers!  Only if we wear the spiritual armour of God that we will be victorious.  The armour of God: peace, truth, love, righteousness and the Word of God.

How can we win if we always tell lies?  How can we win if we always strive for turmoil and conflict?  How can we win if we always hate our neighbours?  How can we win if we do not read and contemplate on the Word of God?

My dear brothers and sisters, it is not that easy!  We need God in our lives lest we fall into the snares of the Evil One!  

Let us pray today for God's mercy to shower upon this world where we live in.  Let us pray that God will have pity on us, that He will enlighten us to seek His Face every minute of our lives.  Let us pray that we will be given grace to know Him, to love Him and to worship Him alone.  That the armour of God will envelop our very being and we may cooperate and surrender to God's will and plan. Lord. hear our prayer.  Through the powerful intercession of Mother Mary, St Joseph, St Michael the Archangel, all of the Angels and saints.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
