The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!" He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples. Luke 8:24-25

It was not the raging storm, the rocking of the boat, or the water that filled the boat, that woke Jesus up, but the troubled voices of His disciples!

Our prayers and cries to Jesus, when in trouble, always have an impact on Him. We have His full attention, all His love surrounds us, but why He keeps us waiting at times, we will never know, but we need to believe that He will never work against us. Let us invite Jesus into our lives, our families, our friendships, our work, our minds. When He is in our boat, the storm will always subside.
(Jane, thanks very much for these striking and beautiful reflections about the Lord. Excellent). New World
