“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength” Reflection by Prayer Aid (Jane Pimenta)

 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.    I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.   I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.   I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do all this through him who gives me strength.   Phil 4:9-14

Let us quieten our hearts and read the vs again  to what Paul is saying,   Sometimes opportunities come our way, which  may look like challenges!  The God of peace is with us, and talking to us, if we are quiet and listen.    We can deal with what comes our way today, in union with Jesus and be at peace and   discover more and more His strength working through us, His calm filling us.  We will gain confidence in His love and ourselves, and we will get rid of fear gradually by taking one step at a time outside our safe zone!  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.  (As usual, Jane writes a succinct and enlightening reflection about our dependence on God.  It is a total abandonment to the will of God that will lead us to a right relationship with our Creator.  Praise God Almighty!).
