“Give us this day our daily bread”. Reflection by Cynthia Abegail

“Give us this day...the prayer that the Lord taught us is fascinating.  We do not have to pray, give us the whole week or the whole month:  Absolutely, we have to take one day at a time because we really do not have a clue whether the next day is for us!  Only God knows.  We may infer that it maybe a waste hoarding for a long time because physical life is not guaranteed but spiritual salvation is if we believe in Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

Quite the very opposite of worldly matters, we always plan!  Planning for the whole year in finances; nothing wrong.  But, in the context of God giving us, we request this day.  Life is not in our hands.  Let us take one day at a time; aside from making our life easier, this jibes with the teaching of the gospel.  Make life simple, not complicated.  For in simplicity and goodness, we feel the presence of God.
