Listen, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. Deut 32:1-2
Listen! That’s the difficult part for all of us. God is trying to get our attention, but our minds are on what is going on in our lives, and our ears can only hear the sounds of our anxieties and fears that speak to us all the time.
Listening to God in prayer each day is like the rain and dew falling on our parched souls.
Apart from our prayer time, let us decide to put aside our own way of thinking and acting and listen to what someone else may be saying. That person could very well be an instrument of the Lord in our situation. Let us take the time to slow down and allow the words of another person to touch our lives it may be God’ way of sending us hope.
(Thanks to Jane Pimenta, the popular writer for reflecting on the listening to God's message of
hope. At other times, some messengers could have been instruments to touch our hearts. Excellent). New World
