We always hear the message: "Our lives must agree to what we adhere on! Of course, one must obey God's commandments! True! No doubt about that. On the other hand, my dear brothers and sisters, let us make our priorities right. First, love the Lord your God with all your might, with all your souls, with all of your hearts and minds. Things will fall into each place. When you love God, you will love your neighbours for the love that you exude for God is not from you but from God alone. If that love comes from Him, you will not hurt or offend your neighbour.
Rudeness and impoliteness is not from God. If we do that because we are imperfect, think again! Is God's love is in my heart and if I truly love God, should I do that? Backstabbing, telling lies about your friends or even enemies to destroy their reputation is not on!
Gossiping, for one, is not a preoccupation of a child of God! I do not like to hear the preaching of a gossiper and a backstabber. It annoys one to death. I could better hear the babble of a baby or of an innocent soul.
Stop, look and listen. If one wants to preach about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, look into your heart! Do you like to share with others or do you like to grab everything for yourself.
Give chance to others! As you would like for others to treat you, do it for the love of God. Change yourselves not by your own doing but by offering your weaknesses to God. Greed is one of the deadly sin. Its not only greed of money, but greed of fame, greed of taking all duties, greed of taking ones duties from others.
Wake up before God reminds us: Faithful servant, give the rest to your brothers and sisters. You do not live for yourself but for service to one another.
Let us pray today that God will give us the gift of sharing and not hoarding, the gift of good manners, the gift of love that matters. That we may learn to share our talents in a humble way, that we may treat others with respect. Through the powerful intercession of Mother Mary, St Joseph, St Michael the Archangel, all of the Angels and Saints, all in Lord Jesus Name. Amen!
Praise the Lord! Alleluia
