AS THE LILIES BLOOM
As the lilies bloom, I know that it is spring
Tis the season of happiness for the joy it may bring
Reminisce the days I waited by the shore,
Sadness filled my heart, tears at the lore.
It will never happen, never will it be!
For thine heart shoots at the maiden with glee,
I looked from afar, ebony eyes turned misty
As the flower allowed the arrow in the mews.
As the lilies bloom, I know winter is afar,
But my heart seems icy-cold and at mar!
Come back, my love though never meant to be,
By autumn with tawny leaves as lilies say goodbye!
