Christ has liberated us to be free. Stand firm then and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery. Gal 5:1
One of the things that puts the yoke of slavery on us is our negativity. Let us begin to praise Him, thank Him for the many things He does for us. Praise will take our minds off our negative feelings and place our focus on God’s goodness. Let us with determination praise, rejoice in the Lord, sing, do a nice thing for someone, and we will see the yoke of slavery lift. He wants to be everything we need; He wants to be our peace; He wants to be our healer. Let us tell Him what we are planning, and ask Him to work it out for us. I truly understand that this way of thinking is very difficult, and will slow us down, however, it is the only way that will bring peace, clarity about how good, powerful and protective our God is… (There are times that we go back to the same sin all over again. Yes, it is not at all easy but by the grace of God, we will be victorious against sin. We just need to cooperate with God’s plan for us). Cynthia Abegail for New World.
