In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the Lord's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death." Exodus 16:2-3
Grumbling and criticizing happens “automatically”even before we are aware of what we are saying the criticism is out! Grumbling and moaning comes from an unhappy heart. An unhappy heart is a heart away from God. The Israelites wanted to remain slaves to the Egyptians; they did not want their freedom! Our hearts are slaves to our negative attitudes rather than praise God for what good He is doing in our lives. Let us look into our hearts today, and decide to accept the freedom God is offering us from all negative incidents, rather than be slaves to our sufferings.
