I belong to a cell that helps troubled women, and I often ask for donations for these women. I get different responses: “let them do an honest day’s work for what they need” or “Not this time” or “isn’t there anyone else you can ask?” “Why is the parish not helping them”? God is calling us to give without turning around to see who else is giving or should be giving and not giving. God is calling us to give, not just now and then, but as often as we see a genuine need. Giving is a divine principle: whatever we give will be given back to us 100 fold and more. Our generosity attracts the generosity of God – let us make another’s life more comfortable and God will do the same for us. He will meet all our needs richly.
