“Lead is not into temptation” Reflection by Cynthia Abegail

Anyone who says he is strong and will not yield into temptation is commonly a liar!  Although there are exceptions especially most of the saints, we sometimes accede to temptation.

We cannot battle temptation alone!  We need God’s power to resist it.  The carnal desires could be attractive to the senses, hence man is weak in it.  But it is not the end of the day.  With God on our side, who can tempt us.  Most of the time, the free will gets in the way and rebellion sets in.  We have to use our free will for the good.  Vigilance is a must.  We must think twice when evil is lurking in the corner.  We should not be self-righteous, neither should we be reckless in facing temptation.  As the Lord said to the adulterous woman, “Go and sin no more.”
