(ANOTHER WONDERFUL POEM FROM OUR CYNTHIA) NEW WORLD
As I walk by the pond, a gentle sound,
By the reeds that sways at the moundI linger and wonder how sweet beyond
The wading of the water near the land...
As curious as the bird that fly above
My eyes caught a light, pearly swan
That swam and floated so queenly
So regal with its head held up high!
A brilliant light strike the deep waters
Reflection of its beauty does it matter?
No sign of avarice and vanity of puschia
Full of joy as it glides, as graceful ballerina .
Adamant to disturb the warmth of scene,
Hid by the branches of a rare astute tree
As I run to cover myself from its presence
The laces that I wore caught a vine immense!
I almost hussed Quiet, yet sometimes queer,
The pearly swan looked with innocence at me
Do not depart, as I stood stillness utter silence
Glided beautifully with a smile alluring as a dame!
Coloured swans, dark swans, bright swans came,
What a beauty as they swam not weak and lame
My heart rejoiced for these creatures by the pond
Reflection of God's beauty and glory and wisdom!
