Food for the Brain

It is important to take care of our brain.  Although food is only an aspect in nurturing the brain, it could be a major factor.  

Phytochemicals have powerful antioxidant effects.  Some foods rich in these compounds are carotenoids such as carrots, mango, broccoli, tomato and the like.  Flavonoids also protect against degenerative disease.  Examples of flavonoids are potatoes, onions, apples, tea and cocoa.  Red wine in moderation could Aid the brain, too (about one glass per day).
