I SEEK MY LOVE BY MARIA CASSIA
Where are you in the midst of the dune and the sun?
Are you in the rubbles of my dream, in the mound
The reverie, the ecstasy and the pure rythmn sands
Took my breath away, my beloved, where to wind?
Where are you as tears roll from my eyes of love?
The touch, the drenched looks, awaiting daisies
Another day of hoping that thine ebony eyes sing
To my heart that longs to be loved across the seas!
I seek my love not in the mountain heights, in the
ocean that rises beyond heights as I gasp for air!
I seek my love not in the desert but along the brook
Where the water gently ripples and the flowers bud!
I seek my love not in the plains but along the beach
Where the castle that we built touched by the wave!
I seek my love in the valleys of my deep longing
In the river that rushes and flows to the ebbs...
