“In the Potter’s Hand: Reflection by Prayer Aid

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.”   So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.  Then the word of the Lord came to me.  He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.
This was the first reading for Mass, a few days ago – and a beautiful reflection followed.  The clay was IN the potters hands and as long as it was IN his hands it was safe – being made and remade.  Sometimes painful no doubt, but still safe IN the potters hands….In today’s situation, with all the big, sorry huge adjustments we are making, WE ARE IN THE POTTERS HANDS…..let us not be afraid, discouraged, give into depressions, let us stop knocking our frustrations out on others (!!) let us relax, for sure we are being remade, but our security is that we are IN the Potters hands…Relax God loves us He will take care of us.

(A beautiful reflection of Jane about the Potter’s Hand.  Our life is in the hands of God.  Absolutely!  Thanks Jane, excellent!). Cynthia Abegail for New World
