Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. Ps 34:5
Our hearts and minds are forever doing battle…the enemy tries to control us by messing with our minds, and hearts. In a prayer I was saying a few days ago, Jesus was saying “What troubles you and hurts you immensely are your reason, your thoughts, your worry and your desire at all costs to deal with what afflicts you” If we examine those words carefully we will become aware that our thoughts, the way we reason things, why we worry, and our desire to control is what gets us down. So, the Psalmist says to us “look to Him and be radiant” Over and over again, let us fight against the desire to work things out for ourselves, rather let us surrender and keep our gaze on the Lord. (We do not solve our problems by ourselves; we need to focus on God! Then, we seek, we ask and we knock on heaven’s doors. Excellent, Jane. Keep it up!). Cynthia Abegail for New World.
