“The oath that he swore to our ancestor Abraham, to grant us, that we, being rescued from the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.” (Lk 1: 73-75).
The Lord never forget His covenant; he never break His promises unlike us. It is just right that we serve God with all of our hearts and minds in fullness and dedication without murmuring. No fear! Because if God is in us, what is there to fear? The King is beside us, backing us up along the way. It is us who stray, it is us who forget holiness.
To serve a holy God, we must also strive to holiness. Although we may fail, we stand up again and say Sorry! It’s not enough to say sorry. We must have a conviction to be faithful. With one whiff of the wind, we are back to ground zero again. It’s not easy but if we pray wholeheartedly and commit ourself unequivocally; by His grace, we will be whole again.
