TO FATHOM THE DEPTHS by CYNTHIA ABEGAIL

TO FATHOM THE DEPTHS

Could you fathom the mirage,
The blue seas; echoes of my heart...
Could you feel the beat that ensues
Not flickering but races as the star?

Could you gaze at the heights ,
Horizon meets nadir by the night---
Is it the countenance that matters
No, but thy sweetness that captures!

Could you feel the strong whirlwind,
That uproots the tree and succumb---
As the ship is capsized by the waves
That's my love that evades and raves!

Could you hear the flow at the brook?
The ebbb of water so deep yet gentle
As the hyacinths dance like a breeze
That's my love; it soars without cease !

Could you fathom the trench, O'behold!
Teeming life of greens, then of magenta
Alive, exotic beauty by atolls and reefs
That's my love; stunning as the sunset!

Could you stop raging torrents of river,
Nor the waterfalls that seems unending
Nor the lake whose waves as if clinging
As I ponder all these things in my being!

The desert may dry, the rain may stop,
Your eyes may wander, feelings wane
If you come back, with open arms----
Embraces by the apex of my dreams!

Dear Cynthia

This poem is refreshingly different! Loved reading through it! The manner in which you have described nature's unfathomable ways....is truly astounding!

Sincerely,
Mary

Dear Mary,

Thanks that you liked
this love poem. I just
love oceans and other
nature sights; thus it's
easier to use metaphors
in my poems!

Sincerely,
Cynthia
