Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:12-13
“whoever believes in me”. God is inviting us to come into an intimate relationship with Him. There are many ways of being intimate, but the basic way is trust. God is inviting us to trust Him in all things, He has a plan for us, a plan that we may not like, but it will work out in our best interest. He is inviting us to give Him our anxiety and live without fear. He wants us to strongly believe that we are loved and He will never let us down. When we strive towards an intimate relationship with God, we will not just know about Him, but we will experience His love, His compassion, and mercy working in us and through us to others. (Jane, thanks for this enlightening reflection about trusting God unconditionally. Total surrender to our Creator is an absolute must!). Cynthia Abegail for New World.
