“When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your Death O’ Lord until you come again.”
The Lord has left a memorial: “The Last Supper.” This has been adapted by artists all over the world and usually Catholic homes have this painting
What is the significance of the Last Supper? It involves the breaking of the bread and drinking of wine, There is transubstantiation wherein the bread and wine are transformed into the body and blood of Christ. It needs substantial faith to believe what’s happening at the Mass.
When one takes the body and blood of Christ, transformation occurs. One is becoming more and more of Jesus. Faith is envisioning something that is not there but accepting it as it is. Jesus always invites, “Come”
