Confidence alone easily obtains all things from the “Great Means of Prayer” (TAN)

 St Thomas Aquinas states:  “Our confidence in prayer must not support itself on our own merits, but on the mercy of God and the merits of Jesus Christ.”

Just like the publican who was humble enough not to raise his eyes to heaven but beats his breast and said, “Be merciful to me O’ God.  I am a sinner.”
