Mark 6:53-56 Reflection by Cynthia Abegail

After making the crossing, they came to land at Gennesaret  and tied up there.  As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognised him.  They scurried about the surrounding country and began to bring in the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was.  Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they may touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.

(Mark 6:53-56)

The power of the Lord is unimaginable.   But the Lord likes to heal the sick and is not at all bothered by fame.

In as much as people were healed as they trust in the Lord that time, it is the same as today.  Anyone who is sick must trust in the healing power of God.  Although God answers according to His will, we should wait as children of God.  We do not show impatience if our illness or of our family is not healed according to our expectations.  Somewhere, sometime the Lord will answer our prayer at times we do not expect.  Let us keep our faith solid in Him because our only hope in this life is our trust in God.
