Therefore do not be anxious saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heaven Father knows that you need them all. Mt 6:31-32
Planning our day or our future is part of life. There is nothing wrong with that, but we need to submit those plans to Jesus – we need to be open to Him leading us in another direction perhaps. To be independent in the world is considered maturity – to be independent of Jesus brings misery! It’s not easy. The Lord is telling us that He KNOWS what we need and He will work things out for us. Our daily battle is, to try and stop being in control, in little things each day. When we succeed let us praise God, when we do not, let us try again. God looks at our hearts that want to let Him be in control, and blesses us.
(Thanks Jane for this beautiful reflection. I totally agree. We do not need to be anxious but instead focus on praising and thanking God for His absolute goodness. Excellent!). Cynthia Abegail for New World
