Jane Pimenta: Spiritual Writer
of the Decade: Congratulations!
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24
Our courage is what gets shaken the most when we worry. A lot of “what if’s” or “how long” “I’m not sure” and more fill our minds, and disturbs our hearts. The Psalmist is encouraging us that at these times we should turn to the Lord and He will strengthen our hearts. Let us deliberately put aside negative thoughts and look into the eyes of Jesus and know that He will never let us down. Let us put all our concerns into His hands and with faith, with our minds set on His love, let us decide to trust Him.
(No worries! It’s common to hear these words. It is perfectly said because to worry is not showing complete confidence in God. If we truly surrender ourselves to the Lord’s will in our lives, why do we need to worry? Superb reflection Jane, as usual. Thanks). Cynthia Abegail for New World.
