Be still: Reflection by Jane Pimenta of New World

Be still and know that I am your God;   I will be exalted among the nations   Ps 46:10

Be still !  Let us not rush around doing stuff before we have sat quietly before the Lord, and become aware that He is with us, and will continue to be with us today.   Many people and situations have greatly changed after the 2 years of covid.  People are on edge, irritable, always in a hurry, how will we respond to them?  Be still….God  is with us even when we interact with difficult people.  We do not know what is bothering them,  we do not know the kind of pressure they are under – we help them by responding with patience and kindness and that we can do, when we have first sat quietly and allowed ourselves to feel the Lord’s presence with us.  It is His strength and self-control that will lead us.  I have observed that people need patience, kindness and love, and only when Jesus is Lord of our lives, we can be patient, kind and loving

(Excellent reflection from our Jane Pimenta. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jane reminds us that Jesus should be the Lord of our lives first and foremost.  Then, good things will happen).
