When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?” Ps 56: 3-4
When I am afraid, I get stressed and generate more fear. When I am afraid my mind works more, mostly negative thoughts. What do you do when you are afraid? Let’s try and do what the Psalmist does. The more we trust Jesus the more we will give to Him to control, what we give Him is safe in His hands, nothing and no one can touch what is in God’s hands. The more we trust the more we feel power to deal with what confronts us. I find the only way to surrender to the Lord and let Him deal with my fears is to be quiet for as long as it takes to still my mind and heart then I surrender what is bothering me and after a while I feel calm.
