“If our enemies are hungry feed them. If they are thirsty give them something to drink for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads” Romans 12:19
Today’s scripture vs is very challenging. It is calling us to be good and kind to the one who is disturbing our peace. Our tendency would be to ignore the person, or write them off. But in Jesus’ book (bible) He says do good to them! He set us a great example when He prayed from the Cross: “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do” people who hurt and wound others, do not know what they are doing. They do not know that they are breaking their relationship with Jesus and others! Let us pray today for the mighty grace to forgive even though we may feel like hitting back….May the Lord be with each of us as we strive to Follow Him and remain in relationship with Him.
